Qualifications/ Requirements
National Diploma in Civil Engineering
3 years relevant post diploma experience in planning for sewer and water projects is a prerequisite for the appointment as a Senior Technician at C3 level
Code EB driver’s license.
Key Performance Areas
Responsible for all planning functions associated with sewer and water reticulation systems within the Msunduzi area
Preparation of contract documentation, estimates, programming of related works, adjudication of contracts and monitoring of expenditure
Implementation of quality control procedures and systems to improve efficiency
Compliance with the relevant and appropriate technical, engineering, environmental, construction and other work standards
Bylaws, Water Services Act and OSH Act
The successful candidate will report to the Technologist: Planning
