Permanent vacancy currently exist in the Parks, Recreation & Culture Unit within Parks, Leisure &
Cemeteries department for a Graphic Designer.
Essential Qualification: Relevant post matric certificate. Valid motor vehicle driver’s license (Code EB)
Essential Experience: 2 years relevant experience. 
Preferred Experience: 3 years relevant experience.                      
Duties Include: Conceptualise and design publications including logos, posters, catalogues, brochures
etc., by using DTP technology, clip art, digital photography and freehand illustrations. Produce visuals,
mock ups and layouts. Direct photography and artwork. Monitor production processes and checking
proofs. Under manipulation of text and photos. Produce polystyrene wall murals by selecting suitable
illustrations (in liaison with Librarians), tracing, drawing, painting and cutting. Assist with the installation
of the graphic component exhibitions in compliance with Museum and Library standards. Liaese with
outside printing companies including the obtaining of quotes. Keep statistics, write work progress
reports and undertake office routines. Attend courses, attend meeting and serve on committees.
