Bursaries for the 2015 academic year

Overview

If you’re reading this, odds are you’re pretty flash at your studies. You’re going places – and we’d like to hold the door open for you. If you’re heading into your second or third year, or you’re about to get started with your journey into honours, keep reading.

Find your subject

There is a serious dearth of skills in the South African media space, both in print and digital. John Brown SA, as part of a leading global content marketing group, wants to change that – which is why we’re granting bursaries for the 2015 academic year in the following fields of study:
  • journalism
  • media studies
  • multimedia
  • graphic & web design
  • computer science
  • finance
  • human resources
  • brand communications

Who’s eligible?

If you’re a South African citizen and you’ve got the following down, then you need to get in touch.
  • excellent academic results
  • outstanding written and verbal communication skills
  • a burning passion for your field
  • unstoppable ambition and diligence
There’s one more thing you need to know: in line with our EE policy and requirements, we’re giving preference to a suitably qualified person from the designated groups. If you don’t fall into one of those groups, don’t let that stop you – we’re still considering all applications.

Time to apply

Still with us? Good. What you need to do now is download this form, fill it out, and send it to bursaries2015@johnbrownmedia.com together with a copy of your CV and latest academic results.
Applications close on 15 September 2014. Best of luck.
