The role:

This role is a specialist role within the Corporate Affairs.  It has a local red line to the S&SD Manager and a green line to the Community Engagement Manager in the Community Engagement structure.  The incumbent is responsible for building relationships with the communities and municipalities in their local area and acting the local point of coordination for all Anglo Platinum engagement with these bodies.  The incumbent will set the boundaries within which other parts of the organisation may engage with these bodies.  This role will oversee the development of local SED Project plans and delivery against agreed timelines and objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

Decide

·         Content of SEAs

·         Project plans required to implement SED initiatives

Recommend

·         Content of Community Engagement Plan

·         Content of IDP submissions

·         Local SED priorities

Input

·         Content of Social & Labour plan

·         Issues requiring escalation to Exco

·         Community appointees to boards of trusts and s.21 companies

Minimum Qualifications, Skills and experience:

·         Tertiary qualification in social studies or related fields or project management/finance qualification or competence shown in this field

·         At least three years relevant experience

·         Competent in systems MS office, MS Projects and others relevant to the role

·         Read and write in English

·         Communications and literacy in major community languages advantageous

·         Valid driving licence code 08
