Aurecon bursaries are awarded to deserving students for studies at various tertiary institutions in fields specifically related to the company’s activities. Students from approved universities which offer programmes that lead to professional careers in engineering are considered, with bursaries available for students studying towards a BSc or Bend in the fields of Civil, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
We fund up to R80 000.00 (subject to change) per annum to every bursar to support them in their studies. We also provide practical training applicable to the qualification, as required by their educational institution.

  • You must be studying or intending to study BSc or BEng in Civil, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering undergraduate Degrees at recognised Universities in South Africa. Proof of registration/acceptance is required
  • Grade 12 students must have maintained a 5 symbol or higher in Mathematics and Science since Grade 11
  • Tertiary students must have maintained a minimum of 70% aggregate
The bursary will be renewed annually if the student’s academic performance is satisfactory.

Reserve Bank ICT and Banking Industries Learnerships

The ITBLP qualification and associated learning programme are aligned with the skills needs of the ICT and banking industries.
The learning programme consists of the following specialisations: Java / Microsoft.net / COBOL; Mainframe; Databases (Oracle) and ICT Networking and Security. Learners will obtain a National Diploma in ICT Studies at the end of the programme.
The duration of the learnership is 24 months (i.e., 12 months’ theoretical learning and 12 months of workplace learning). Learners will further be subjected to an open-learning (distance learning) environment in order to complete their diploma.
If vacant posts are available in these companies, employment will be offered to candidates who successfully complete the learnership.

REQUIRMENTS  :  Grade 12 Certificate with exposure or basic knowledge of registry processes in HR environment. Special requirements (skills needed): Knowledge of computer programs  such  as  MS  Word  and  Excel  will  be  a  strong  recommendation. DUTIES  :  Receive  incoming  post  and  prepare  outgoing  post  or  items.  Complete  and maintain  incoming  and  outgoing  post  register.  Identify.  File  documents  i.t.o  the filing  system.  Pending    files  according  to  pending  system.  Distribute  circulars, minutes,  agendas,  correspondence,  addresses,  etc.  Dispatch  or  collect  files  or items.  Muster  and  identify  records  for  archive.  Update  and  modify  records. Segregate items or documents require special handling. Maintain the daily file or main control register. Trace missing or misfiled records or items. Sort information and  documents  for  filling  according  to  database  and  record  management protocols. File information and documents in database and record management systems.  Label  the  storage  locations,  assemble  and  label  new  files.  Produce copies  of  documents,  sort  and  segregate.  Close  and  archiving  of  dormant  and finalized  files.  Sort  and  capture  staffing  applications  on  computer.  Advice managers  wrt  movements  of  documentation  or  items  in  or  out  of  the  sections. Control  and  administrate  telephone  accounts.  Control  and  maintain  the attendance register. Collect or deliver mail and documents. Control and operate office  equipment  or  machines  such  as  fax,  photo  copier,  scanner,  etc.  Control papers  for  fax  and  photo  copier  machines.  Control  and  maintain  the  office inventories. Advice managers wrt telephone accounts, attendance registers, fax or copier machines in the section. Control and maintain the store rooms . Inspect and maintain the store rooms.
