Victim Empowernment Programme Volunteer Opportunities (130 Posts)



The Mpumalanga Department of Community Safety, Security and Liaison (DCSSL) is looking for 130 people to join the Victim Empowernment Programme as volunteers. Successful applicants will receive a monthly stipend of R1 500.

Duration: 5 month renewable contract
The Victim Empowernment Programme is a programme that seeks to ensure the provision of professional  and comprehensive services to victims of crime and violence  in  all police station.

Requirements:
  • Standard 8 (Grade 10)/ Matric
  • Ability to read and write in a local language and English
  • Excellent interpersonal relationships
  • Experience in working with people in the relevant filed will be an advantage

Key Performance Areas
  • Receive, assess and refer victims of crime
  • Prepare victims for statement taking
  • Record management
  • Provide information
  • Compile reports and partake in education and awareness campaigns in relation to crime
