Qualifications/ Requirements
  BSc (Civil) or B Tech (Civil)
  3 years’ experience in water and sanitation of which 1 year should have been in a management position
  A valid code EB driver’s licence
  Professional registration will be an advantage.
Key Performance Areas
  Manage the Information Systems within the Water & Sanitation Unit
  Network  modelling  of  the  water  and  sanitation  services,  the  GIS  and  CAD functions
  Applications for relevant funding, quality control of projects, implementing and maintaining a system for all drawings
  Attend and/or chair various meetings
  Monitor  project  budgets,  provide  demand  and  supply  information,  deal  with consultants, contractors and communities
  Supervise staff and interact with other sections and business units
  Required to assist with other civil engineering work.

  Grade 10 and 12 months relevant experience
  Computer literacy including MS Word and Excel

Key Performance Areas
  Provide  clerical  support  by  checking  the  accuracy  of  details  recorded  on transactional  documentation  from  job  cards  and  updating  work  in  progress information/ data on specific applications/ systems
  Monitor  and  update  the  inventory  regarding  spares,  parts,  consumables, equipment and movable property
  General clerical duties including filing and retrieving documents, dealing with queries attendance registers and leave applications.

Qualifications/ Requirements
  National Diploma in Civil Engineering 
  3  years  relevant  post  diploma  experience  and  sewer  reticulation operations is prerequisite for appointment as a Senior Technician
  Code EB driver’s license.

Key Performance Areas
  Responsible  for  sewer  reticulation  maintenance  and  construction, implementation of maintenance programmes
  Supervise staff and wastewater pollution control
  Preparation of estimates and programming of related works
  Adjudication of contracts including annual supplies contracts and monitoring of expenditure
  Provide technical assistance in operational queries, including the facilitation of VIP emptying
  Implementation  of  quality  control  procedures  and  systems  to  improve efficiency
  Compliance  with  the  relevant  and  appropriate  technical,  engineering, construction and other work standards, Bylaws, Water Services and OSH Act
