The above mentioned vacancy exists in the Geographical Information and Policy Office Unit of the
Office of the City Manager Cluster.
“ Benefits included in the Total Value of Remuneration Package Range (Pension, 13th Cheque, Medical

schemes and any revisions that may occur from time to time which may alter the Total Value of

Qualifications (Essential): Relevant B.Sc. (Electrical/Electronic Engineering). Valid motor vehicle drivers
licence (Code B). Preferred: None.  
Experience (Essential): 2 years relevant experience in light current engineering design/development
environment. Preferred: None.
Duties Include: Administration of projects in the discipline of RF, Security and other, for all service units
within eThekwini Municipality to achieve the goals of the Electronic Services Branch in providing an
adequate electronic engineering service.

Vacancies for the above post exist in the Human Settlement and Infrastructure Cluster, Electricity
Unit, MV/LV Operations Department, Construction Planning & Works.
Qualifications Essential: Matric / Grade 12 plus relevant certificate accredited by SAQA, as applicable.
Valid motor vehicle drivers licence (Code B). Preferred: Relevant 3 year tertiary qualification.
Experience Essential: 2 years relevant experience. Computer literacy and the ability to operate  Various
drawing software packages. Preferred: 3 years relevant experience.
Note: This post has a progression grade facility whereby on meeting certain requirements the employee
can progress to the next grade.
Duties Include: To executes applications and processes associated with planning through determination
of requirements and priorities, preparing and submitting designs, plans and diagrams for discussion and
approval and, attending to processes to interact and expedite services and requirements relating to
environmental impact assessments, approval of site and servitude acquisition and encroachment
applications in order to ensure the functionality contributes positively towards enabling the Department
and Branch in achieving objectives and outcomes.
